Jazz Singer/Songwriter Shannon Butcher has a delightful style all her own - whether she’s covering jazz standards, bringing an intimate tone to 70s rock or giving a funk spin to country classics.

Shannon’s dynamic interpretations of modern hits and original songs have brought her international attention and pushed her to the top of Canadian charts.  With iTunes naming her one of the best new jazz vocal artists following her debut recording, Shannon has toured across Canada and overseas, and has released four albums, including Little Hearts and Butcher Sings Baker.

Toronto based musician Michael Shand uses blues, reggae, hip-hop, funk, R&B, soul and Latin music as the raw elements that form his identity as a performer, writer and arranger, but jazz is the common thread that binds them all together.  Michael has toured the world with artists including Molly Johnson, Divine Brown, Jully Black, Jacksoul and jazz-crooner Matt Dusk.  Michael is currently music director for Johnny Reid’s band with whom he co-wrote Reid’s latest single, Hey Delilah.

Performing as a duo for over a decade, Shannon and Michael have an extraordinary connection that invites their audience to share in their joy and love of music.
